    Mark has had a long and varied career in music as performer, composer and educator. He has received commissions from ballet and modern dance companies, worked in collaboration with visual artists and as an arranger for school ensembles.      
     Mark received awards and grants from the San Diego Arts Commission, The Getty Foundation, NY State Council on the Arts and Meet the Composer Inc.  The American Ceramic Society included his recordings of clay flutes on their CD and book titled 
From Mud to Music by Barry Hall.
    Mark is on Rockland County Government's Art In Public Places committee and sculpture curator for the Village of Upper Nyack's River Hook preserve. He is currently involved in music collaborations and recording projects in New York.
